●Looking for some participants - Japan Culture and Art Festival●
For the Japan Culture and Art Festival 2012 on Sunday the 25th of November, we are looking for performers, art exhibitors, workshop runners, craft market shops and on-the-day volunteer event staff!
During our festival we will try our best to give everyone the opportunity to experience the best the Japanese culture has to offer! Why don't you join us to make the event more fun, and help us to spread the art of Japanese culture while sharing your own skills.
We are looking for anyone who believes they can represent 'Japan', whether you're from Japan or anywhere else in the world. We're sure you will have lots of opportunities to meet Japanese people, learn new things, make new friends and have memorable time!

●Performers: Music band, choir, Wadaiko (Japanese drum), Comedy show, shamisen, magic show, dance, fashion show, play, etc.
Why don't you have your show time on our stage! It will be a great promotional opportunity. Anyone is welcome to apply, even if you are not professional! We will have 2 other smaller stages in addition to the main stage, and can provide more time and chance for you to perform this year. As the event concept is "Experience" and "Interaction", we would also like to ask you to run a workshop to teach any skill you would like to share with the festival's guests outside your performance time.

●Workshop: Calligraphy, flower art, tea celemony, origami (paper art), nail art, kendo (sword art), ninja, massage, kendama (Japanese toy), koma (Japanese toy), shamisen, kitsuke (kimono wearing), shogi (Japanese board game), go (Japanese board game), gal make-up, hair styling, etc.

●Craft market shop: Illustration, accessories, toys, postcard and any other hand-made goods
,. You're welcome to bring in anything you create for sale.
Please join our craft market shop if you would like to sell goods that you make. Based on the concept of "sharing and showing your skills", we require these items to be hand-made. To have a shop space, the fee is $55. Space is 2Mx2M, you will need to bring in your own table, chairs and shelves, etc. to prepare your own shop space.
●On-the-day Event Staff: Receptionist, back stage staff, workshop assistant, food and drink sales staff.
We are dependent on your help to make this event successful and as fun as possible. We are looking for volunteer staff for various roles depending on what you are interested in. We will be provided orientation periodically before the festival. If you are able to come to JAPANEASY Japanese language school (Level4, 126 Russell st) please book in advance so that you will not have to wait.
